Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic care focuses on diagnosing and treating misalignments in the joints and spine. To achieve this, our team will create a personalized plan for both in-office and at-home care. Chiropractic adjustment is a manipulation technique used to correct misalignments in the spine and joints. The goal of an adjustment is to restore proper alignment, improve joint function, reduce pain, and enhance the body’s natural ability to heal itself. During an adjustment, the chiropractor applies controlled, precise force to a specific area of the spine or joint, often resulting in a noticeable release.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an old healing practice of traditional Chinese medicine dating back over 4,000 years. This technique has become a complementary and alternative medicine technique that involves inserting thin needles into the skin at specific points on the body to treat health problems. Acupuncture is used mainly to relieve discomfort associated with a variety of diseases and conditions. The needles are then activated by the practitioner’s hands or through electrical stimulation. Because of its low side effects and no pain, it has been the treatment of choice for many doctors and hospitals across the country. Some of the conditions it treats:
- Chemotherapy- induced and postoperative nausea and vomiting.
- Prenatal pain and symptoms.
- Dental pain.
- Fibromyalgia.
- Headaches- including tension headaches and migraines.
- Labor pain.
- Lower back pain.
- Neck pain.
- Osteoarthritis.
- Menstrual cramps.
- Tennis elbow.
- And much more

Physical Therapy
Physical therapy involves targeted exercises and movements designed to restore function, improve mobility, and alleviate pain from injuries or chronic conditions. These exercises aim to address specific physical impairments, correct movement patterns, and strengthen weakened areas. By focusing on proper techniques and gradual progression, physical therapy helps patients recover more effectively and prevent future injuries.
Physical therapy often begins with foundational exercises that address immediate issues, such as improving range of motion or reducing pain. As patients progress, therapy may include more complex exercises to enhance strength, coordination, and overall function. This approach helps correct biomechanical imbalances, supports rehabilitation, and aids in the recovery of optimal physical function.

Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) to enhance a person’s health and well-being. There are many types of massage therapy methods, here we focus on medical massage treatment. This type allows for the massage therapist to treatment the conditions the patient was diagnosed with by the doctor. People seek massage therapy for a variety of reasons; for example, to relax muscles, to rehabilitate injuries, to reduce stress and anxiety, to reduce pain and to promote overall health and wellness.

Diathermy
Diathermy is a therapeutic treatment that uses electric currents (radio and sound waves) to cause the body’s tissues to oscillate, generating heat in layers of skin below the surface. This method, meaning “deep heating,” helps relax muscles and joints, reduce inflammation and swelling, and improve blood circulation.
Diathermy is used to treat a variety of conditions, including:
- Arthritis
- Back pain
- Fibromyalgia
- Muscle spasms
- Myositis
- Neuralgia
- Sprains and strains
- Tenosynovitis
- Tendonitis
- Bursitis

Electrical Stimulation
Electrotherapy is an alternative pain management treatment option that involves the use of mild electromagnetic pulses to provide relief for the patient. This treatment option treats pain, repairs tissue, strengthens muscles, controls muscle spasms, and even improves your blood circulation. It has been a staple for everyone from athletes to patients after surgery. It’s been used in most major sports teams and in medical offices for decades.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound therapy is a chiropractic treatment used to help reduce muscle pain and increase range of motion. By using sound waves, we can stimulate deep inside the tissue. This minimizes stiffness, swelling, and pain while also promoting circulation, and pain-free movement.

X-Rays
One of the most important elements of chiropractic care is diagnostics. Here at Ideal Family Health Center our doctor is licensed in Diagnostic Imaging and, if warranted, with our in-house x-ray, we will take images to gather more information. Chiropractic radiology is a tool utilized in care as a diagnostic practice to rule out pathology (such as possible tumor or fracture) and/or an additional aid to see what other spinal conditions you could have at that time. Chiropractors rely on a variety of diagnostic techniques in order to fully understand what is occurring in the patient’s musculoskeletal system, and how a given treatment intervention could bring about positive results in each patient.

Interferential Stimulation
Small pads are placed on the body where the injury and/ or pain is located, then will deliver a high but consistent electrical current to stimulate the muscle. The higher frequency current penetrates deeper into the tissue with less discomfort. This lowers the swelling and reduces overall pain and can help the muscle begin to relax and heal more effectively.

Microcurrent Therapy
The use of ultrasound technology makes fast and faint electric pulses. These are sent to the area of pain to stimulate blood flow and restore the body’s naturally generated energy. This helps relieve inflammation. It is a concentrated sensation like when a speaker or radio frequency vibrates.
